About Mark Walden Collins

Find the music of Mark Walden Collins on all the leading streaming platforms!

Mark is a songwriter based in the Chicago suburbs.  Mark’s music is presented on  all the leading streaming platforms, in varying musical genres (typically pop,  Americana, folk, rock, and singer-songwriter).

The catalogue forms a unified artistic arc — crafted not for distraction but for  reflection and anchored in the essential human themes of expression, connection,  and compassion.   His songs provide entertainment, but they also give the listeners  a language for their inner lives and create a rare space where people can find what  is real.  Within Mark’s music, listeners can find themselves.

Mark’s lyrics have an eclectic origin story.  In some ways, three important  moments of Mark’s meditation practice provided a foundation for his messages  of expression, connection, and compassion.  These moments of meditative “aha”  moments have brought into focus what is real ... and what is not.  He was also  influenced by philosophers such as Henry David Thorough and Alan Watts, as well  as lyricists like Bob Dylan, Gord Downie, and Bruce Springsteen.

Mark has embraced AI by utilizing SUNO AI for the performances.  Much of his  music is presented with a female vocal.   And while SUNO is a revolutionary tool  for creators, the music on Mark’s YouTube channel incorporates his lyrics, chord  progression, song structure, and melody.  The recordings are Mark’s songs and  vision – utilizing his own recordings as a reference for SUNO to create the full band  version.

Few artists today create not just songs or albums, but a worldview—and Mark’s  catalogue does exactly that, offering cultural clarity, emotional grounding, and a  reminder of what it means to be human. In a generation losing its sense of self,  his music becomes not just relevant, but necessary.
